Apple on Monday issued its second security update of the year. Applicable to Mac OS X v10.3.9 and v10.4.5 running on Intel and PowerPC Macs, the release notes point to three specific issues fixed for Tiger and Tiger Server users: unsafe Javascript-enabled documents loaded from a remote site; the ability of an attachment in Mail to execute arbitrary code when opened; and the ability of a Web site to execute arbitrary code when viewed.
The release notes don't cite any specific Panther issues, but Apple did say that the update improves the security of several components within Mac OS X in general. The last three Security Updates are included in this one.
