Safari 3 beta 3.0.3 Improves Security

Apple included Safari 3 beta in its Tuesday evening update-palooza with a 3.0.3 update. The update addressed several WebKit security related issues for the Mac OS X and Windows versions of the Web browser.
The updated version of the browser addressed an issue where Java applets could potentially load and run even when Java was disabled, fixed an issue where look-alike characters in a URL could be used to trick users into visiting malicious Web sites, and corrected an issue that could lead to arbitrarily executed code when visiting a maliciously crafted Web site.
The Windows XP and Vista version of Safari 3 beta also corrected a problem that could result in application crashes or arbitrary code execution when adding bookmarks.
Safari 3 beta is free, and available for download at the Apple Web site.
