Mark/Space Intros Missing Sync for Symbian

by , 8:05 AM EDT, July 30th, 2008

Mark/Space announced the immediate availability of The Missing Sync for Symbian devices on Wednesday. The application lets Mac users synchronize data from Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Motorola devices with their Mac.

The Missing Sync for Symbian supports syncing events, tasks, contacts, images, video, and audio files between Symbian-based cell phones and Mac OS X. It can also archive SMS text messages and call logs, and can automatically initiate data transfers via Bluetooth when the phone is near your Mac.

The Missing Sync for Symbian requires Mac OS X 10.4.9 or higher, and Symbian S60 (third revision or later) on Nokia phones, or Symbian UIQ 3.0 or later on Sony Ericsson and Motorla phones.

It is priced at US$39.95 and is available for download at the Mark/Space Web site.

$40?!!? If I wrote my true thoughts about this ripoff, you would have to censor me.

Mark/Space makes good quality software that fills a very particular niche. If you fall into that niche and you NEED a Mac sync solution, then $40 isn't so bad. Many people may have a need to use this. For instance, I have a blackberry for work with about 300 contacts. If I had to migrate those contacts to my iPhone I would gladly pay $40 for software that would do it for me because my time and sanity are worth it...fortunately I don't. If you think it is too expensive, don't buy it. If enough people agree with you, Mark/Space will drop the price. The free market is a beautiful thing.
