Apple TV owners woke up to three new channels on Monday: A&E, History, and Lifetime. The new channels appeared without users needing to install any updates, and backs up the notion that Apple is serious about bringing more content to its little set top box.
Apple TV adds A&E, History, Lifetime channels
Like many other channels available on Apple TV, you'll need a subscription through your cable or satellite provider, although some limited content is available for free. Popular titles such as Bates Motel, Storage Wars, Pawn Stars, Vikings, Devious Maids, and more are available.
Not all cable providers are supported right now, but Apple is most likely working on deals to expand access to the new channels to more customers.
