Apple’s iPhone-related media event is less than 30 minutes away, and it appears that the company has accidentally leaked some details about today’s announcements. The company’s Ginza store Web site in Japan is showing an iPhone 4S that matches the current iPhone 4, along with an updated iPod nano, and also states the new iPhone will be available on October 14.
Apple Japan showed the iPhone 4S and new nano early. Oops.
The iPhone 4S images on the Apple site match the current iPhone 4 design, but there aren’t any product details listed yet. The October 14 launch date could be later than the U.S. rollout, unless Apple decides to launch in multiple countries at the same time.
The new iPod nano description states (English translation) “The new user interface. More substantial fitness function. The new clock face. Multi-touch iPod nano is also able to multi. At $ 10,800.”
Apple’s media event is set to start at 10AM pacific time. Be sure to check in with The Mac Observer for our announcement coverage and analysis.
