[Update: Apple appears to be getting its streaming house in order. The live feed is working again, and the simultaneous translation is gone.]
Apple is experiencing a rare bit of massive FAIL with the live streaming for Tuesday's media event. From having two audio feeds during the pre-show to a live Chinese translation that makes it hard to hear Apple's executives to the stream itself dropping out to intermittent outages of Apple's site itself, this has so far been a catastrophe for a company that normally gets everything right.
And Twitter is in full meltdown over it. With #AppleLive the top trending hashtag, the conversation is being dominated by complaints about the feed, rather than discussion of Apple's announcement.
Mark Nunnikoven might have put it best:
someone is getting fired…I wish I was joking #applelive
