Apple's vice president of operations for the Mac, iPad and Mac accessories, Rita Lane, has retired. She started working for Apple in 2008 and was responsible for managing manufacturing and supply chains for the products.
Apple VP of iPad and Mac supply chain Rita Lane retires
News of Ms. Lane's retirement comes via an update to her LinkedIn profile, and not an official announcement from Apple.
Prior to her gig at Apple, Ms. Lane worked for Motorola, IBM, and the U.S. Air Force. Just as she did for Apple, Ms. Lane handled supply chain management at Motorola and IBM.
Since Apple hasn't announced Ms. Lane's retirement, it isn't a big surprise that there isn't any word yet on who will replace her.
