"I love it! It's so...old." Kids React is such a brilliant idea, and they've posted a new video, Kids React to First iPod." While many of us might prefer not to realize this, the first iPod is just about 14 years old, and that's before all of the kids featured in this episode were born. Many of them think it's an old phone or one of those camera-phone thingies. The young lady I quoted above is just stupefied because it stands up, and new iPods don't. An older boy (age 13) astutely noted that it's the grandfather of iPods. The beauty of this project is being able to see technology through the eyes of people who not only take it for granted, they take the things that came in its wake for granted. It's fascinating to me.
