Star Trek: Into Darkness, the most recent movie from J.J. Abrams's reboot of the franchise, is available on iTunes now. That's three weeks before its release on DVD and Blu-ray, as noted by Useful Blog Posts. The HD version is priced at US$19.99 and the SD version is $14.99. This is the one where Kirk, Spock, and McCoy have to protect Earth from a mad, would-be tyrant. Oh, [spoiler, if you've been living under a rock] and there's a new Khan. Also, it is a great movie. The iTunes Extra content includes commentary from J.J. Abrams, a look at how they created the red planet in the movie, and interviews with Zachary Quinto and Benedict Cumberbatch. Cool, eh?
