The Health Records section in the iOS Health app is a place to view and store your medical records you get from doctors. Over 500 institutions in the U.S. support the feature, and on Wednesday Apple announced that customers in Canada and the U.K. can make use of this feature.

Additionally, the connection between the iPhone and healthcare organization is also encrypted. Heather McPherson, president and CEO of Women’s College Hospital:
Women’s College Hospital is proud to be among the first in Canada to offer Health Records on iPhone. As we accelerate our virtual care strategy, we are committed to shaping a health system that people can navigate more effectively. We believe that digital tools like Health Records can contribute to more informed decision making and improve the healthcare experience.
That’s great, it’s a start.
Of course there’s more to Canada than southern Ontario, but I guess you gotta start somewhere.
