Both the entry-level AirPods and the Pro models will get a revamp in 2021, according to Bloomberg News. The focus appears to be on making the audio products smaller.
Stemless AirPods Pro
The entry-level AirPods will reportedly have a shorter stem, akin to the Pro model now. Features like noise-cancellation will remain absent, however. Work is being undertaken so that the higher-end model is rounded and fills more of a user’s ear, eliminating the stem. The new, standard, AirPods could appear during the first half of 2021. Furthermore, Apple is planning to use new wireless chips made by Luxshare Precision Industry and Goertek, across the range. We may also see an updated HomePod and studio-style headphones from Apple in the coming months.
