Apple confirmed Wednesday that Ted Lasso will return for a third season. The comedy, starring Jason Sudeikis, has been something of a surprise hit on Apple TV+.
‘Ted Lasso’ to Get Season Three
Ted Lasso was fairly quickly renewed for season two, and the renewal for season three should come as no surprise. Bill Lawrence, who executive produced the show alongside Mr. Sudeikis, told The Mac Observer in a recent interview that it had originally been pitched as a three arc series, with all the indications being that Apple TV+ would air the story in that form. “Things are going very well right,” is as far as Mr. Lawrence would go at the time, but that hinted at a third season is now set to happen.
The show tells the tale of an American football coach sent over to the UK to lead a soccer team. Cringe, comedy, and some genuine good feelings follow. Season one is available on Apple TV+ now.
I recently started watching it, I am only up to the 2nd episode, but I enjoying it.
