It isn’t just laptops getting an Apple silicon-style overhaul. Apple announced Tuesday that there will be a new Mac mini containing the M1 chip too. Well, there had to be a bit of a surprise in an Apple event called ‘One More Thing,’ right?
New Mac Mini With M1 Chip Available to Order Now
The new Mac mini with M1 chip comes in 25GGB and 512GB models, although it can be upgraded to have up to 2TB of storage. Other options including 8GB or 16GB of memory. Inside there is the Apple M1 chip with 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine. The device also offers Gigabit Ethernet. It all starts at $699 – cheaper than the most recent Intel models – and is available to order now.
