The Pixelmator Team announced on Friday that Pixelmator Pro will be available on Thursday, November 19. It’s been redesigned to fit the macOS Big Sur design language and will support the new M1 Macs.
Pixelmator Pro 2.0
Since the app’s editing engine is powered by Apple’s Metal API, it can easily take advantage of new chips like M1. As an example, the team says its ML Super Resolution feature is up to 15x faster on these new Macs. And as a universal app it will be compatible for M1 chips and Intel chips.
With the redesign for Big Sur, users can now customize the Pixelmator Pro interface, the list of tools, and the toolbar. There is a new Effects Browser and a new Presets Browser that offers over 200 new presets for the Color Adjustment, Effect, Style, Shape, and Gradient tools, and more.
I really like Pixelmator. Left Adobe years ago.
Pixelmator Pro is a bargain.
