LONDON – Google services suffered a major outage on Monday morning. The services affected included Gmail, Google Drive, and YouTube, and the search engine itself. They had though started to return at the time of this writing.
Key Google Services Back Online After Outage
At around 11.30 AM UK time, users started to report via social media that they were unable to access essential services from Google. Users in the U.S. and other countries noticed similar problems. The company’s workspace dashboard confirmed the outage., with the Gmail outage update time at 11.55 AM in the UK. At 12:41 PM, the dashboard updated Gmail’s status from ‘service outage’ to ‘service disruption’ and said:
Gmail service has already been restored for some users, and we expect a resolution for all users in the near future. Please note this time frame is an estimate and may change.
The same updates were applied to a variety of company’s services.
