Apple is now offering users who subscribe to any Twitch streamer a three-month free trial of Apple TV+. This perk comes from a joint effort between Apple and Amazon to boost their respective services.
To become eligible for this promotion, you need to subscribe to any Twitch streamer. Gift subscriptions also count. However, automatic subscription renewals or subscriptions purchased through Amazon Prime won’t qualify for the promotion.
This promotion is available in numerous countries around the world. You can check if your country is on the list, as well as other requirements, on Twitch’s official blog.
Current Apple TV+ subscribers are also not eligible for the offer. The promotion lasts until August 30.
News about the new Apple TV+ deal comes just a week after Apple partnered with Sony to also offer a three-month free trial to PS4 and PS5 users.
It’s evident we’re in the middle of the streaming service wars, and that alliances are being formed. Just weeks ago, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hulu announced a huge bundle that offers all three services for a discounted price.
Apple wants to catch up, but it’s still a long road ahead, as Apple TV+ remains the 6th most popular streaming service in the US.
