MobileMe subscribers can also remotely lock their iPad with a password and remotely delete data if their tablet is lost or stolen.
Apple’s MobileMe service costs US$99 a year, and also includes iCal and Address Book syncing, Safari bookmark syncing online storage and data backup, remote file sharing, and email.
The iPad will be available on April 3rd and is priced starting at $499. It includes a 9.7-inch multi-touch display, support for most iPhone apps, Bluetooth connectivity, Wi-Fi, and some models include 3G wireless data access.
