The Mac OS has steadily improved with features that can be used to organize your data and launch applications. You can organize your data with a folder hierarchy, and even keep track of favorite Internet sites with the new Internet location files. To launch applications, there are several options, including aliases and the Launcher program. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was an application which could let you consolidate text, URLs, images and other data in one place…

Drop Drawers provides exactly this functionality. You start by creating an area called a drawer. By using either the contextual menus, or the Mac OS Drag and Drop feature, you can add items to this drawer. The items can consist of text, URLs, sounds, movies, images, files or aliases. The possible combinations are endless. Each drawer has a tab which shows the title of the drawer. Passing your cursor over this tab will open the drawer, moving out of the drawer’s area will hide it again.

The potential of this utility is amazing. Create a drawer for your favorite web sites, collections of images or sounds, email addresses, or whatever you can think of. Drop Drawers will help you organize and present your data in almost any way you can think of.
