Apple has worked on its beta testing cycle by releasing iOS 18 Public Beta 4. This update brings new features and improvements to the iPhone operating system. The release of iOS 18 Public Beta 4 is keenly anticipated by many users.
One of the biggest changes in iOS 18 Public Beta 4 is the renaming of the Apple Music “Browse” tab to “New,” which doesn’t make sense because how is Micheal Jackson’s 90s hit a “New” song? The tab’s content has also been reorganized. Users can now enjoy a dedicated Bluetooth control in the Control Center and have quicker access to Bluetooth settings.
iOS 18 Public Beta 4 also allows the ability to set custom app icon tinting for each individual wallpaper or lock screen.
Apple has also addressed a visual inconsistency by making dark mode app icons display correctly in notifications. Previously, notifications would still show light mode icons, even in dark mode.
To showcase the new features and improvements, iOS 18 Public Beta 4 includes several splash screens in various apps like Home, Photos, and Notes. These screens highlight the latest additions to the operating system. The release of iOS 18 Public Beta 4 showcases Apple’s continued commitment to refining user experience.
If you’re already enrolled in the public beta program, you can download iOS 18 Public Beta 4 through the Software Update section of your device’s Settings app. For those who haven’t joined yet, enrollment is available on Apple’s website.
Apple continues to refine iOS 18 with each beta release, and users can expect further enhancements as the official release date approaches.
