In the wake of this week’s public release of iOS 10, T-Mobile is informing customers using some iPhone models to hold off on upgrading to Apple’s latest mobile operating system. iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and iPhone SE users are reportedly having issues connecting to T-Mobile’s network following the iOS 10 update.
T-Mobile CEO John Legere took to Twitter Thursday afternoon to spread the message.
Apple is working to resolve the issue with iOS10 for @TMobile customers. Don't download iOS10 if you currently use an iPhone 5SE, 6 or 6+

The issue affecting the aforementioned iPhone models causes the device to randomly lose connection to the T-Mobile network. For those who have already upgraded to iOS 10, the temporary solution is to completely reboot the iPhone, although this only works for a short time before the device loses connection again.
Neville Ray, T-Mobile’s CTO and EVP, reports that Apple is aware of the issue and is working on a fix which should arrive within the next 48 hours.
Apple rarely makes downgrading to a previous version of iOS easy, but if you’re an affected T-Mobile customer and would like to give it a shot, OS X Daily has instructions on how to downgrade from iOS 10 to iOS 9.3.5. Be sure to read the caveats about backups and protecting your data!
Maybe the problem is bigger. I’m having problems with my bluetooth devices pairing and staying connected. I’m at T-Mobile 25.2 now.
Yep – confirmation from T-Mobile support – 25.2 fixes the problems.
My wife and I have iOS 10 and that 25.1 carrier update, and we haven’t been affected, yet, knock on aluminum.
As I typed this, I got another carrier update to 25.2. Interesting!
Most users are reporting the issue started after updating their carrier settings, not updating to iOS 10.
My friend has been using the beta version – not the GM -and is still on it, and only had issues after downloading the updated carrier settings.
It seems to be a combo problem of iOS 10 and the 25.1 TMobile carrier setting.
I have a 6S with 10 (never used a beta) and 25.0 (T-Mo) with no issues, and it even seems I have better coverage strength.
I have been declining the carrier update and have told my family the same thing.
