U.S. President Donald Trump publicly called Tim Cook by the wrong name during a meeting at the White House Wednesday. The President mistakenly referred to the Apple CEO as “Tim Apple.”
Appreciating Tim Apple
President Trump made the error during a meeting of the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board that Mr. Cook was attending (via The Verge.)
People like Tim — you’re expanding all over and doing things that I really wanted you to do right from the beginning. I used to say, ‘Tim, you gotta start doing it here,’ and you really have you’ve really put a big investment in our country. We really appreciate it very much, Tim Apple
The awkward moment was, of course, captured on film too. It had been viewed over 6.5 million times at the time of this writing.
This is not the first time President Trump has made such an error. He once publicly called Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Lockheed instead of her real name, Marillyn Hewson.
Update: Mr. Cook is embracing his new name if an update to his Twitter name is anything to go by. He has changed it to Tim .
Tim Apple would have been somewhat clever had it not been completely a product of some as yet undiagnosed deficit.
The Orange Clown has a sub-eloquent, pithy, and unencumbered thoughtlessness.
Probably because his businesses are all named Trump Something.
