I’m always interested in these Information Management discussions. We need to get past directly managing a hierarchical file system but there are some obstacles. Nobody got Jobs’ vision for iCloud as a Dropbox killer where Apps managed & sent their files instead of a middleman File Manager.
An HFS has a single tag called parent-folder, if Apple could help people visualise this, expand tags with simple logic-based tag groups and share tag structures between users (with a wireless accelerator), they’d have it.
