Apple is rolling out the second beta of the upcoming visionOS 1.3 update to the registered developers. Right on time, it comes two weeks after Apple began rolling out the first beta of visionOS 1.3.
To grab the visionOS 1.3 developer beta 2, head to the Settings app on your device and flip the switch for developer betas. You’ll need a registered developer account, and Apple suggests backing up your data before installing new software.
However, before updating, you need to know that these developer betas are pre-release software intended for developers and testing. Therefore, regular users should avoid installing them.
Apple might tweak Personas, EyeSight, and other features in visionOS 1.3, and also fix more bugs. The initial visionOS 1.3 beta didn’t reveal any new bells and whistles. Therefore, the lion’s share of features is expected in later releases.
Notably, Apple has already taken the wraps off the next visionOS 2, slated to debut later this fall alongside iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 12, and tvOS 18. Furthermore, the development of the 2025 batch of software updates, according to the report, has commenced.
In other news, Apple has rolled out Vision Pro to more regions outside the U.S. for the first time. There are also rumors that Apple is scrapping Vision Pro 2 in favor of a cheaper version, priced around $1,500.
