Apple Seeds 3rd visionOS 1.3 Beta to Developers

Apple released the third beta of the visionOS 1.3 update to developers today. The first beta was released about three weeks ago, and the second was released about a week ago.

Developers can download the latest build through the Settings app on their devices by enabling developer betas. As always, Apple recommends backing up your device before installing any new software.

A free developer account is required.

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Then to General.
  3. Enable Beta Updates
  4. And then select visionOS Developer Beta.

While the first two betas of visionOS 1.3 didn’t reveal any groundbreaking new features, Apple hints at further refinements to functionalities like Personas and EyeSight. The update is also likely to address any lingering bugs.

There are no new release notes for this software update.

Notably, Apple has already taken the wraps off visionOS 2, slated to debut later this fall alongside iOS 18, iPadOS 18macOS 15, watchOS 12, and tvOS 18. Furthermore, according to the report, the development of the 2025 batch of software updates has commenced.

This focus on internal improvements might mean that Apple will prioritize a stable and polished release for the public when VisionOS 1.3 finally rolls out.
