The video also shows that Apple is not holding off on using its “your next computer is not a computer” advertising slogan for the iPad Pro which some feel confuses its product line.

Apple Music Offers Insight Into Popstars Lockdown Lives With 'At Home' Collection
Apple Music now has a collection called “At Home.” It includes playlists compiled by a number of stars including Harry Styles and Charli XCX. There are also playlists to suit different moods. Furthermore, Beats 1 personalities such as Zane Lowe are joined by various music stars for FaceTime chats and there are interviews too. Stunning iPhone 12 Pro Concept Video Looks at What Could be on The Way
There have been loads of iPhone 12 rumors. What features will we see? When will we see it? Well, I don’t have the answer to those questions, but Donel Bagrov and Anton Panton have created a stunning concept video for an iPhone 12 Pro. The clip looks at what we might expect in the next generation of pro-level Apple smartphones. The concept includes things like a pro retina XDR display, an under display camera, the A14 Bionic 5nm chip, and reverse charging.

Normally US$2.99, EXIF Viewer by Fluntro is free right now. As the name suggests it lets you view the EXIF metadata of photos, which can include location, time stamp, device model, and more. You can delete the metadata using the app as well, which is useful if you don’t want websites like Facebook to read your location from the photo. Most importantly you can bulk edit metadata if you’re working with multiple photos.

This Coral Game Helps You Train NASA Supercomputer ‘Pleiades’
NASA recently launched a game for iOS called NeMO-NET. In the game, players set forth with their ship Nautilus to scan the ocean floor. You identify and classify different types of corals, earn badges for completing missions, and watch educational videos about sea life. The data from the game is used to train NASA’s supercomputer called Pleiades, located at the Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley. The goal is for Pleiades to recognize corals from various scientific instruments so that the agency can map corals across the world. App Store: Free

Apple updated Clips, its creative tool used to send quick, fun videos over social media. NatGeo@Home - Home Education Hub from National Geographic
National Geographic launched NatGeo@Home on Tuesday. It is a set of home education resources that families can use together whilst in lockdown. There are a whole host of activities available, including games, videos and science experiments. There are lots of activities that are organized by how much time they take – 5, 15, or 30 minutes. Furthermore, there are resources for teachers alongside those for parents and children. It is all available for free.
‘iPad Main Menu’ Concept Reimagines App Settings
Alexander Käßner uploaded a concept video called iPad Main Menu. On Reddit he says it’s the result of a bachelor thesis. It introduces app menus that are accessible with an always-present icon on the dock, and/or a three-finger tap. It’s similar to the right-click menu we see on macOS. I love it because it gives you quick access to all app settings, which end up in different locations depending on the whim of the developer (hamburger menus notwithstanding). Main Menu is consistent.
The main menu is split into two columns. We find the most common actions on the left, such as cut/copy/paste, and app-specific features are on the right. Main Menu also works with a keyboard, so you “never lift a finger again.”

A new video offers viewers a look at how Apple TV+ series Amazing Stories was made. In the clip, executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, who worked alongside original creator Stephen Spielberg, take us behind the scenes. You see scenes being shot and hear from some of the stars too. All episodes of the first seasons of the revamped Amazing Stories are available now to Apple TV+ subscribers.

The trailer for Apple TV+ show Trying has arrived. It tells the tale of a British couple who look to adopt a child after they are unable to conceive. They need to grow up themselves though before they can look after a child. It’s a rather dark comedy and does actually seem pretty good – not that I’m biased, give it’s the first UK show! All episodes will arrive on May 1.
The New iPad Pro Still Bends
We’re starting to get the first wave of reviews for the new iPad Pro. Given it is meant to be a device you can take anywhere, people want to know about durability. Well, according to YouTuber EverythingApplePro, it still bends. And cracks. In lots of different places. I personally don’t think these kinds of tests, that basically have the intention of breaking a device in not very realistic circumstances, give a totally fair picture. They prove you need a case, obviously, and show some weak spots, but I’m not sure much beyond that. It is though interesting to see some of the new parts within the iPad Pro.
Tracking COVID-19 Symptoms Across The UK
A new app is seeking to track the spread of COVID-19 symptoms across the UK, in order to highlight those most at risk and monitor how the disease is spreading, has been released. It was built by the developer Zoe Global in partnership with various UK medical research institutions, including the NHS National Institute for Health Research. It asks users to update their symptoms once a day, whether they feel well or not. Doings only takes a minute or two. The app is available through the iOS App Store.
Dell Mobile Connect App Now Lets You Mirror Your iPhone on Windows
Dell updated its Dell Mobile Connect app to enable users to mirror their iPhone on their Windows PC. This means your iPhone’s screen is displayed on the PC, where you can see notifications, drag and drop files, and otherwise control the phone using your PC. Requirements: A Dell laptop from 2018 or later from the Alienware, G Series, Inspiron, Vostro, or XPS line of models.

HouseParty: Stay at Home, See Your Friends
We are all looking for ways to stay in touch with friends and family as the coronavirus pandemic continues. One great app I’ve found for this is HouseParty. It allows you to easily have conversations – either one-to-one or a group. Once you’re in a conversation you can also play games with people – things like heads-up and trivia quizzes. You can ‘say hi’ to people to let them know you are there and even jump into conversations with people (if they haven’t locked the chat)!
