I just wish they have updated the bigger HomePod instead of deleting it from the lineup. New processor could have made it much more future proof. Stuff and M1 in them and have a smart speaker that could last for the next 20 years likely.
I love the 3 I have and would love to see them in some sort of 5.1 or even 7.1 physical configuration. With their spacial awareness thing they would truly fill rooms with sound for a surround system. Add to them with a woofer and maybe a sound bar and it could be an amazing thing. Versatile.
As it is I have 3 currently. I Might pick up a 4th and 5th so I can have 2 paired for a couple of secondary TV’s in spare rooms and my Kitchen one. At least they did add a ton of function right before cancelling them with Atmos-like features.
Will still have to look for my ideal replacement for my 25 year old Lexicon/Dynaudio/Velodyne rig.
