Apple has rolled out the second public betas of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 for users to test. This comes after the release of iOS 18 beta 4 and iOS 18.1 beta 1 for developers.
To install iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 public betas, you first need to be enrolled in Apple’s public beta program. If you haven’t already, you can sign up at beta.apple.com.
If you’re already running iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 beta, go to Settings > General > Software Update on your device to install the latest update.
Unlike iOS 17.6, where Apple released only security and stability improvements, iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 betas introduce all sorts of upcoming features to the public.
Some of the most notable features are RCS messaging on more carriers, summarizing text across apps with AI, creating custom emojis, and more.
