Apple is preparing to launch its next software update, iOS 17.6, which is expected to be a minor update with a few new features in tow.
The release will come with the build number 21G79 and is expected to mainly feature bug fixes and stability improvements.
This information, first reported by 9to5Mac, comes from a private social media account with a strong track record of revealing details about upcoming iOS updates.
iOS 17.6 has already been available as a developer beta for some time now. The only new feature it includes is the “Catch Up” feature in the Apple TV app for MLS Season Pass viewers. This feature allows users to catch up on games by providing a series of highlights of selected games.
As we inch closer to iOS 18, it’s clear that these iOS 17 updates will be minimal. iOS 18 promises some exciting new features, like Home Screen customization and tinted icons, not to mention all the Apple Intelligence features that will become available to the public with iOS 18.
