It took 28 days for Apple to sell a million iPads, and that was before the model with 3G wireless data support was available.
The tablet devices includes a 9.7-inch multi-touch display, runs iPhone OS, supports most iPhone apps, includes its own ebook reader app, includes built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and some models are available with 3G wireless data access, too.
Apple introduced the Wi-Fi version of the iPad on April 3 to long lines of customers in the U.S. The company rolled out the model with Wi-Fi and 3G about a month later.
The company has since expanded iPad sales into several other countries, and is ready to move its multimedia tablet device into even more countries in the coming weeks.
