iPod nano Gets Video Camera [Updated]

The new iPod nano with built-in video camera.

The nano’s video camera supports 640 x 480 resolution at 30fps in H.264 format, and includes real-time effects such as film grain, thermal, x-ray and kaleido. It doesn’t, however, let users take still shots like the iPhone 3GS camera does.

The new built-in radio includes a 15 minute buffer so users can pause live radio or scrub through broadcasts, and song tagging that includes song purchasing support at the iTunes Store. The included headphones also act as the radio antenna, which limits playback to earbuds means users won’t be able to listen to FM stations through the iPod’s built-in speaker.

Like iTunes 9, the new nano includes the Genius Mixes feature that can build up to 12 different mixes that play endlessly.

The iPod nano is available in silver, black, purple, blue, green, orange, yellow, (PRODUCT) RED and pink.

The new iPod nano is priced at US$149 for the 8GB model, and $179 for the 16GB version.
