According to a new report from The Information, Apple is set to begin ramping up mass production of its next-generation iPhone SE 4 this October.
That could mean that the new iPhone SE, which is rumored to feature a 6.1-inch OLED display, a USB-C port, Face ID, and more, will be available before the end of 2024. The report also speculates that the new iPhone SE could be announced well ahead of the Lunar New Year in January 2025.
It’s important to note, however, that Apple has previously released new iPhone SE models in March. So take this rumor with a grain of salt.
In addition to the new iPhone SE, Apple is planning to launch its long-awaited foldable iPhone in 2026 and beef up the iPhone 16 lineup. The latter could include a new iPhone with a camera that offers adjustable aperture and a larger graphite sheet to address overheating issues in the iPhone 16, according to the report.
Other features of the iPhone SE 4 could include a rear chassis with a similar build to the iPhone 16, a 48-megapixel sensor, and the ability to charge wirelessly. Apple may also offer the iPhone SE 4 in a variety of bright colors.
