Sprint starts iPhone preorders
Apple’s newest iPhone partner will be selling the 8GB iPhone 4 for US$99, and the iPhone 4S starting at US$199. Subscribers will get unlimited 3G data as part of their service package — a feature that AT&T and Verizon no longer offer.
Apple CEO Tim Cook took the wraps off of the iPhone 4S during a special media event on Tuesday where the company also announced that iOS 5 and iCloud would launch on October 12.
The new iPhone includes a dual core A5 processor, better battery life, CDMA and GSM support in a single design, an 8 megapixel camera, Siri voice control, and for the first time comes in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities.
The iPhone 4S will be available on Friday, October 14.
