T-Mobile Joins iPhone 6 Pre-order Lineup

T-Mobile finally gets in on iPhone 6 pre-ordersT-Mobile finally gets in on iPhone 6 pre-orders

The post-midnight rush early Friday morning to pre-order the new iPhone 6 or 6 Plus was met with frustration because Apple's online store continued to show the familiar “We'll be back” greeting instead of options for choosing which model they wanted for several hours. Apple eventually brought the site back online and now customers can place orders, although some models are already showing delayed ship times.

Customers who did manage to complete the pre-order process had better luck using the Apple Store app on their iPhone or iPad, although that was hit-and-miss, as well.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were introduced earlier this week at a special media event. The iPhone 6 comes with a 4.7-inch display, and the iPhone 6 Plus sports a 5.5-inch display. Both include Apple's own A8 processor and M8 motion co-processor, better graphics performance, 802.11ac WiFi, NFC, 8MP camera with improved image sensor, thinner bodies compared to the iPhone 5S, improved battery life, and more.

Pricing for the the iPhone on T-Mobile's network doesn't come with a subsidized option, so your upfront cost will be higher compared to Verizon and AT&T. The 4.7-inch 16GB model costs US$649, the 64GB version is $749, and the 128GB model costs $849. The 5.5-inch models all cost $100 more.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available in stores on Friday, September 19.
