Apple CFO: 'We May Not Be Able to Meet Demand on the MacBook Pro'

Mr. Oppenheimeris comments were delivered in response to a question from Rob Stempl of Credit Suisse First Boston. In a follow-up from Morgan Stanleyis Rebecca Runkle, she asked for specifics, and the CFO replied: “We received reports from a number of customers from different markets that they were postponing purchases pending Macworldis announcement. However, our results last week that we saw in the reaction last week is extraordinary and that gives us tremendous optimism about the customer reaction on the Intel-based Macintosh.

“And so we obviously factored in that kind of thinking into our guidance,” he added.
