Freeverse Software has annouced the upcoming debut of a new browser aimed at children, to be unveiled at next weeks MacWorld conference. Titled: BumperCar, the Web browser utilizes WebCore and Safari influences and is designed with content filtering and child advocated Internet securty. According to Freeverse Software:
Freeverse Software announced today that it will show its revolutionary new children’s Web browser, BumperCar, at MacWorld San Francisco next week.
BumperCar represents the gathering of three important bases to form one magnificent children’s Web browser:
- Browsing Technology: Based on Apple’s WebCore technology, used to power the acclaimed Safari browser, as well as The Omni Group’s award-winning OmniWeb, BumperCar provides a solid browsing experience
- Child Protection: BumperCar supports ICRA content tags, customizable white-lists using researched data from The Open Directory Project, safe traveling away from the white-list, and content-based filtering. BumperCar can also limit the amount of time your child can browse as well as protect their personal information over the Internet
- Fun: BumperCar isn’t only a great browser because it keeps your kids safe, it also keeps them entertained. BumperCar features a colorful interface with features like the Tunnel Of Mystery, as well as a few classic Freeverse games for when the homework is done
