G-Form has added to its line of Extreme Sleeve™ products with the new Extreme Sleeve for Laptops. There are versions available for 11, 13, and 15-in laptops. The 11-in version will hold an iPad complete with case. The sleeve is soft, flexible, lightweight, water-resistant and comes in black or yellow.

The sleeve is designed “utilizing RPT-Reactive Protection Technology, a combination of PORON®XRD™ material and proprietary G-Form design and manufacturing.” The surface is easy to clean and abrasion-resistant and covered by a limited lifetime warranty.

Using the product
The sleeve is somewhat flexible, but the primary impression is of rugged toughness. The bottom, top, and corners feel extra thick and all the seams feel secure. The top zipper is heavy duty. This is not a glamor product. It is designed purely for protection and anyone with a bag or briefcase might be able to add a laptop encased by the sleeve into that bag or briefcase.
The 13-in case that I received as a review unit measures 14 x 10.5-in so it is clear that a 13-in MacBook is intended to fit snugly inside the sleeve. Much as I cringe at the thought of dropping my Mac under any conditions, I do have the feeling that it would receive maximum protection from this sleeve.
Do I recommend it?
I do. While it is not for everyone, for those whose life style or job places them in situations where their Mac gets harsh treatment, then this may well be a good insurance purchase.
