Safari gained market share in June, as did Firefox, while Microsoft’s Internet Explorer returned to its downward trend. Safari inched back up from 2.53 percent to 3.19 percent – back where it was in March of this year, according to statistics from Market Share. Firefox also took back some market share in June, climbing from 9.58 percent up to 10.77 percent.
Both browsers have been on a steady climb for the past few months, but dipped slightly in May.
Internet Explorer, which has been declining in market share for months, jumped up slightly in May to 85.89 percent, and dropped again to 84.04 percent in June.
