TUFF-‘N’-TINY™16 GB USB Drive
This sturdy little 16GB drive measures 1.9” x 0.5” x 0.6”. It comes with a little key ring lanyard to help you keep up with it. According to Verbatim it is resistant to dust, water and static discharges. It’s also very fast.
I loaded it with my personal collection of 159 Willie Nelson songs (what can I say, I know what I like), fastened it to my key ring, which contains 8 keys of varying sizes and carried it around for a month. Sometimes I fasten my key ring to the outside of my purse with a special clip that I have, and it bounces along with me when I walk around. Other times I may stuff my keys in the pocket of my jeans. After a month of this, I inserted the drive into my computer and all my songs played perfectly.
In addition to the 16GB version covered in this review, there are also 2GB, 4 GB, and 8GB versions available.
The TUFF-‘N’-TINY™ USB Drive is compatible with all USB ports and will work on Windows and Linux operating systems as well as Macs. It comes with a set of directions and I wondered why until I looked at them. There are a series of instructions for the Windows machines; different instructions for different platforms. For the Mac the instructions say plug it in to a port and you are ready to go.
The Bottom Line
This is a sturdy little USB drive and a handy choice for anyone who needs to have one available at all times. It works with USB hubs just as well as it does when connected directly to a computer.
