The company announced in September that the updates were coming, but at the time didn’t offer a firm release date.
Flash 11’s 2D and 3D rendering offer full hardware acceleration support with up to a 1,000 times performance improvement compared to Flash Player 10. The new versions of Flash and AIR also support Adobe Flash Access and Adobe Pass for video rental subscriptions.
AIR 3 includes full fram rate HD video support on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch via H.264 hardware decoding, and supports HD video and 7.1 surround sound for television content.
Flash 11 and Adobe AIR 3 are available as free downloads through the Adobe Web site. Both require Intel-based Macs.
