Greg Joswiak — Vice President, iPod Products, Worldwide Product Marketing for Apple Computer — will be participating in a "What’s Hot for the Holidays" panel at the DigitalLife consumer electronics and entertainment event on October 14th, 2005. Mr. Joswiak will be joined by execs from HP, Motorola, Adobe, and Netgear, all of whom are going to "talk about the highlights of this year’s holiday tech shopping season."
DigitalLife is a flag bearer for consumerism, and is intended to show off new products in advance of the holiday shopping season. It will take place October 14-16, 2005 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
Keynoting the event will be Peter Moore, Microsoft‘s Corporate Vice President, Worldwide Marketing and Publishing, who will be presenting a keynote called "Xbox 360: The Next Generation Is Here." This keynote will center around demonstrations of Big Redmond’s new gaming system in action.
A second keynote address will be presented by Don McDonald, Vice President and General Manager for Intel‘s Digital Home Group. His theme will be "At Home With Intel." Mr. McDonald promises to show "never before seen technologies that Intel is launching this holiday season."
Not expected in his presentation are any Intel-based Macs. Apple CEO Steve Jobs will likely be saving any advances in his company’s move to Intel for Macworld San Francisco in January 2006, or the World Wide Developer Conference later in that year.
