Apple had been rumored for some time to be working on a cloud service that could replace MobileMe, rumors that accelerated with the news that Apple had bought iCloud.com earlier this year. On Tuesday the company acknowledged iCloud by announcing that Steve Jobs would be participating in a keynote event for WWDC that focus on Lion, iOS 5, and iCloud.
We took Mr. Bowman’s photo and with a little help from Photoshop brought out some of the detail of the banner, as you can see below. The iCloud icon appears to have a brushed steel look with a stylized outline of the cloud used in the current MobileMe and iDisk logos. You may notice what appears to be backwards letting in the iCloud cloud, but that is merely a reflection in the door’s glass.
