Apple has temporarily extended its trial period for Apple Music to 3 months free for new subscribers. This offer is available until September 23, 2024, and marks a return to the original trial length that was reduced to one month in early 2022.
The promotion is open to individuals who have never subscribed to Apple Music or Apple One, including those who have not accessed the service through a Family plan. To activate the offer, users need to open the Apple Music app on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac and sign in with their Apple ID, which will soon be history.
After the trial period, the subscription will automatically renew at $11 per month unless canceled. Users who do not wish to continue with a paid subscription should remember to cancel before the trial ends.
Apple Music features a large library of songs available in high-quality audio formats, including lossless streaming at no additional cost. But the best feature, in my opinion, is the Dolby Atmos integration; it brings out the best in a song. The service also offers personalized recommendations and curated playlists; Apple Music fans say that the recommendation system is now better than Spotify.
While optimized for Apple devices, Apple Music is also available on Android. Unlike some competitors, it does not offer a free tier and does not include podcasts in its service. However, the podcast service is now available for Android and Windows users.
Overall, if you have never used Apple Music, and save yourself $22, now is the time to jump for the 3-month free Apple Music.
