Apple made a multi-year deal with Oprah Winfrey and Harpo Productions. The production company has recently hired Terry Wood from Netflix as an executive vice president of Harpo (via Hollywood Reporter).

Ms. Wood had worked for Harpo in the 90s, and for the past four years worked at Netflix. Now she’s going back to Harpo to oversee content that will be created for Apple’s video service. In a statement to Hollywood Reporter, Oprah Winfrey said:
Terry has broad experience across the media industry and an extensive knowledge of what connects to viewers in a meaningful way. I look forward to working with her as we create content for Apple that can impact people around the world.
Ms. Wood will report to Oprah Winfrey in her new role. During her stint at Netflix she oversaw the launch of Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Chelsea Handler’s talk show and David Letterman’s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.
