Apple released a revised 3rd devs beta of macOS 15 for testing purposes.

One of the main additions is iPhone Mirroring, which allows users to control their locked iPhones directly from their Mac. This includes opening and using iPhone apps, interacting with notifications, and dragging and dropping files between devices.

Here are the release notes for mirroring:

Known Issues

  • Universal Clipboard might not work during iPhone Mirroring. (128165996)
  • Scrolling with a scroll wheel with Logitech mice or typing with a Bluetooth keyboard might not work with iPhone Mirroring. (129403645)
  • Workaround: Disable Logitech Options on Mac to use the scroll wheel on Logitech mice or use a built-in or external Apple keyboard.
  • The space bar does not work when Full Keyboard Access is enabled. (130535985)
  • Workaround: Disable Full Keyboard Access.

Window tiling is also available. By dragging a window to the edge of the display, users get a suggested tiling layout, which makes it easier to arrange and manage multiple windows on their screen.

Safari also receives an update and can now summarize websites and highlight important information for users.

The update also introduces the ability to create custom emojis, or “Genmojis,” and improvements to Siri’s functionality within apps and its understanding of on-screen content.

Note: A developer beta is intended for testing purposes only and may not be suitable for everyday use. Apple has also released a public beta of macOS Sequoia.
