It’s time to grease up your internet pipes because macOS High Sierra is ready for download. The new version of macOS includes HEVC video support, blocks autoplay videos in Safari, and is the last version to support 32-bit apps.
macOS High Sierra includes Metal 2 high performance graphics support, virtual and augmented reality support, improved video streaming support, and better photo management and editing. It also blocks web advertisement trackers in Safari, prevents auto-play videos from starting, improves spotlight searching, and more.
macOS High Sierra is a free upgrade, but you’ll need a Mac that supports it. If you aren’t sure if your Mac supports High Sierra, check out TMO’s list of compatible computers.
You can install Apple’s latest operating system by going to the Apple menu > App Store and clicking Updates.
I just found out that Fusion drives don’t get APFS. Bummer.
