Apple’s online store went offline Wednesday morning ahead of the company’s “See you on the 7th” special media event. The Apple Store app now says “We’ve got something special in store for you,” which most likely is the iPhone 7.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus today with faster processors, improved cameras, better water protection seals, and redesigned antenna lines. Reports say Apple is removing the 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of audio over the Lightning port and Bluetooth.

It’s unclear if Apple will include wireless EarPods with the new iPhones, or wired Lightning connector versions. A Lightning to 3.5mm adapter will be available, although not likely included.

Apple may also unveil Apple Watch 2 with a thinner display surface and built-in Barometer and GPS. A new Apple TV is a long shot, and new Macs most likely aren’t coming until October.

Apple’s media event is set to start at 10AM pacific time at the Bill Graham Civic Center in San Francisco. The Mac Observer will be on location with the latest news and announcements from the event.
