California Governor Gavin Newsom announced on Monday that the state is ready to launch its COVID-19 exposure notification app. It has been developed in partnership with Apple and Google, he said.

The California COVID-19 exposure notification app is called CA Notify. It is currently being piloted at the University of California and will become available on Thursday. On Twitter, Governor Newsom thanks Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Apple CEO Tim Cook:
Tim Cook posted his thanks to both the Governor and Google.
Mr. Pichai posted a similar message, thanking the Governor “for [his] leadership.”
