iPhone 4S preorders from Apple sold out fast
AT&T, Verizon and Sprint are all showing shipping delays of up to three weeks for new iPhone 4S orders.
Apple introduced the iPhone 4S during a special media event earlier this week. The new model uses the same body design as the iPhone 4, but includes a dual core A5 processor, a new antenna design, better battery life, built-in combination GSM and CDMA cell network support, an 8 megapixel camera, Siri voice control, and more.
The iPhone 4S is available in black or white and is priced at US$199 for the 16GB model, $299 for the 32GB model, and $399 for the 64GB model.
Apple has historically seen long lines and overnight campers for its iPhone launches. The quick preorder sellout may be an indicator that, once again, the company will see long lines outside its stores on iPhone 4S launch day.
