Comedy ‘Platonic’ to Air on Apple TV+
Ms. Byrne and Mr. Rogen previously appeared in the Neighbors films together and will serve as executive producers on Platonic, as will Conor Welch. They play former best friends who fell out but try to make amends after reconnecting as adults. However, their friendship becomes somewhat all-consuming, destabilizing their lives and prompting them to reevaluate some choices. Platonic is to be co-written by Nick Stoller (who will also direct) and Francesca Delbanco, with Sony producing it for Apple. No release date had been confirmed at the time of this writing, but Apple said it will premiere alongside other comedies coming to its streaming platform such as Physical, which also stars Ms. Byrne.
