Digital Treasurers PocketPro Case – Convenience for MacBook Air

The PocketPro Padfolio case from Digital Treasurers holds either a MacBook Air or a 13-inch MacBook Pro in a padded, zippered pocket. The case fastens with a secure strap closure and is made from koskin (artificial leather). It is black with red lining and red stitching. There is a full size pocket on the front side of the case that will hold several pieces of paper. The product offers a one year warranty.

The inside of the case has a number of built in attributes that allow the user to use the case as a temporary work space when needed, as well as assuring that the user can have certain needed items handy without the need to carry additional bags. It provides space for a full size paper tablet, tab slots for pens or stylus, slots for five cards and a clear ID holder, along with a small zippered pocket and a full size zippered pocket.

Using The Product

This is a very attractive and sturdy case and feels and looks like it will last a long time. Other products in this line that I have used are holding up quite well and continue to look new after several months of use. The card slots are big enough to actually hold cards. There is a suede-like surface that holds a full-size pad of paper securely in place which is a nice touch. The strap closure stays firmly in place when in use.

My 13-inch MacBook Pro fits easily into the computer pocket which means a MacBook Air will also fit easily. However, as noted in the following image, it is a secure fit and there is no convenient place anywhere in this case to place the bulky power cord and adapter that accompanies our laptop computers.

Inserting a 13-inch MacBook Pro

For many people, the absence of the power cord will not be an issue simply because they run on battery power during their work day and wouldn’t dream of carrying around that bulky power cord, but it is something that must be recognized when considering a purchase.

Another item that is conspicuous by its absence is a shoulder strap. The design of this case does not lend itself to a shoulder strap. A shoulder strap is a personal choice and many people choose not to use them and would prefer not to have to pay for them. I’m not saying this is a negative thing, just that it is an element of the case.

Do I Recommend It?

I do. I like this case on several levels. It is attractive and professional looking and allows the user to have several things easily at hand in one location. It is also well made, and I believe it will hold up over the long haul. I also think the price is quite reasonable.
